What five states were affected by the BP oil spill?

4 States - Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.

Oil was found in Texas, but considered the result of oil attached to skimmer boats. Most soiled beaches were in Louisiana; only the panhandle area of Florida was impacted.
