How did Adams Jefferson die?

If i em getting this correctly these two men almost had some sort of connection for they had the same birthday's,both very much apart of the revolution, and died on the same day.

Their death in my opinion was rather strange because both Adams and Jefferson seemed to be having some sort of conversation together even though they were miles apart. It was also said that right before Jefferson died he looked up at the sky and said "is that you Adams?"
