What happened to Jose Rizals body after he was shot to death?

He was buried in a unmarked ground in an unconsecrated cemetary, however his sister found the burial site. Subsequently in 1898 he was exhumed and reburied as a national hero under a monument in the courtyard of the prison where he was shot
