It all depends on when "she" is ready. For this example, "she" will be named Julie.

Here is a quick mini story to get your mind going. Julie likes Kurt, and they decided to go together. They are in seventh grade. Kurt wants to kiss Julie, and all she can think is "yuck".

Julie should kiss when she is ready. Even if her friends want her to kiss, maybe Julie doesn't. Then, maybe she should wait until she is fourteen in high school.

Some girls like kissing an dating and holding hands in preschool. It can be genetic. Others don't have their first kiss until college!

Keep in mind for parents, if your Julie wants to date at age eight tell her no. she should be at least eleven, because I would hate to see my Julie boy obsessed THAT young. And in middle school, you cannot help if she wants to/doesnt want to date and kiss. Some twosomes like to hold hands, some like hugging. Many of middle schoolers are together, but don't date. I remember someone who only said "Bye" in the halls in study hall. It is nonsense! And never, ever, EVER make your Julie uncomfortable. If she doesn't like boys, don't bother her. Her day will come. If she loves them, scolding is rude. She can be 12, let her date please. Seminar in her high school is the time where plenty like to fool around alot. Don't encourage that. It is bad. To conclude, Julie should kiss once she is ready.
