Why was the Revolutionary War so long?

let's see,walking up and down the eastern seaboard,hot in the summer,freezing in the winter,none or little food at any given time,no their was not any jeeps,trucks,planes,etc.horses when they were not killed for food.camp dogs were fair game for supper also.1775 to 1781 six plus years, gee i though they did pretty darn good.

freedom ain't free and the Brit's were well trained and in numbers....

The tactics of the American revolution we're evasive and sneaky and they couldn't take the frontal assault and just war head's up which is why the war went on.

America bunker-ed it-s defense, did sneaky attacks and the Brit's took a while to give in and accept the loss of there colony. The french were also busy helping so the Brit's did not have just the American's to face all the time, making their work harder
