Jesus Christ is the Firstborn of the Father in the spirit (Heb. 1: 6). He is the Only Begotten of the Father in the flesh and was foreordained to his great calling before the creation of the world under the direction of the Father. Christ came by the will of the Father to do his will and it is God who will give unto Jesus the throne of his father David, Luke 1: 30-33.

In the beginning, the Word was with God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, John 1: 1,


The sign of the dove, as an emblem for the Holy Ghost, was a pre-appointed signal by which John knew he was to recognize that he had baptized the Son of God (see John 1: 29-34). At the time of the baptism of Jesus, John saw the sign and heard the voice of the Father bearing record that Jesus was the Beloved Son, in whom the Father was well pleased (Matt. 3: 13-17).
