Carbon Dioxide is an important gas the plants need for Photosynthesis. It is also an important component of the air we breathe. Ozone, in the correct amounts in the atmosphere, protects the Earth from Ultraviolet and Gamma radiation from the Sun. At one time, many years ago, the ozone layer was thought to be disappearing but in the last few years it has begun to recover itself, possibly due the the decrease in use of chlorofluorocarbons

  • Freon in heating and refrigerating equipment around the world but

there is no absolute proof of that. Methane is a flammable gas the is produce by the decomposition of organic matter. Landfills with large capacities emit extreme amounts of Methane. Natural gas is primarily made up of Methane and is used as a fuel all over the world. As a greenhouse gas it is twenty times more dangerous than carbon dioxide. Burning Methane gives off huge amounts of Carbon Dioxide that may be causing Global Warming.
