What happened to Louisebourg after the war ended?

After the war ended, specifically following the Treaty of Paris in 1763, Louisbourg was ceded to the British by the French. The British saw the strategic value of the fortress but decided to dismantle it, fearing its potential as a French stronghold. By the late 1760s, much of the fortifications were destroyed, and the settlement's significance diminished as the British focused on other colonial interests.
