How can you get a female Infernape that does not belong to others and without being evolved?

Idk how to get a girl one without getting it from a profesor but I hope this helps, if i want a girl Pokemon from prof. rowan or something i save right before i get the Pokemon, so when i get the Pokemon and it's a boy, I restart my game and go back to the save spot and get another until I get a girl. It works for me, I got a girl Piplup.

And if you have one that's evolving and you don't want it to i heard you press B rapidly or a different button if it doesn't works, but I think it's B.
