How many points do you receive when you score a point outside of the 3 points arch?

When you score a point outside of the 3-point arc in Basketball, you receive 2 points. Shots made from inside the 3-point line, including layups and mid-range jumpers, are worth 2 points. However, if you score from beyond the 3-point arc, that shot is worth 3 points.
