What is the melancthon mega quarry?

The Melancthon mega quarry is an open pit mine, dug in the ground north of Orangeville, Ontario. Replacing hundreds of different farms, the Boston Hedge Fund (the makers of the quarry) bought 8,000 acres of land intending to turn it into the biggest potato farm in Ontario.
