Most couples who are celebrating any Wedding Anniversary over 50 years have almost everything they need. Not many marriages make it to that. It would be a wise idea for family and friends to put in money and send them to a fine hotel for a weekend where they would be pampered; perhaps send them to a nice spa a few hours away from their home (if both have fairly good health) If they like traveling then hopefully there is enough money to send them somewhere you know they would like to go. If you know they are financially stressed then collect the money and give it to them so they can spend it as they wish. So it doesn't appear too cold giving money you can give him a couple of bottles of nice red wine in a wine case and give her a lovely bouquet of flowers with a card signed from all of you.
