How long the Brooklyn nets been a team?

The Brooklyn Nets were established in 1967 as a charter franchise of the American Basketball Association (ABA). They originally played as the New Jersey Americans before becoming the New Jersey Nets in 1968. The team relocated to Brooklyn in 2012 and has been known as the Brooklyn Nets since then. As of 2023, the team has been in existence for over 56 years.
