How much water does polyester have?

Polyester is a synthetic fabric that is hydrophobic, meaning it does not absorb water well. Typically, it contains very little moisture, usually less than 1% in a dry state. However, its ability to wick moisture away makes it suitable for athletic and outdoor clothing. When exposed to water, polyester can become wet but does not retain significant amounts of water after drying.
