Was sid vicious going to be wcw champ before he stabbed arn Anderson?

Sid was scheduled to wrestle Vader for the title at Starrcade 1995 and may have won. He was seen as a legitimate challenger for the belt and he'd already had a title match with Sting at Halloween Havoc 1990.
