Since I arrived here from a question posted at the end of an article on Bank Hapoalim B.M., I assume that the question relates to Israeli companies whose names end in these letters. The letters are an abbreviation of the Hebrew Words, "B'eravon Mukbal", which means "of limited liability. That is, it is the Hebrew equivalent of the British "Ltd.", the American "Inc.", or the French, Spanish or Italian "S.A." , and appears in exactly the same contexts.
