What is the story about St. Nicholas?

Nicholas of Myra was a 4th centruy bishop in Asia Minor, what we call Turkey today. He spent many years in prison for being a Catholic. Once released he was a very generous person. When he learned of people in need he would secretly go out at night and drop bags of gold coins through their Windows. He is also said to have brought three young boys back to life who had been murdered and stuffed into a barrel of brine.
