What is the difference between Calvinism and puritans?

Calvinism is a theological system based on the teachings of John Calvin, emphasizing doctrines such as predestination, the sovereignty of God, and the authority of Scripture. Puritans, on the other hand, were a group of English Protestants in the 16th and 17th centuries who sought to "purify" the Church of England from remaining Catholic practices and were heavily influenced by Calvinist theology.
