How do you prepare for a safety audit?

In an ideal world, you should always be ready for a safety audit and never need to prepare.

Most people, however, need to check to be sure they are following the procedures they are supposed to be following, filing the reports that are required, and that documentation of all of this, along with up-to-date copies of required written programs, are available at appropriate locations.

This usually means you prepare for an audit by doing an audit of your own.
