What is the best thing about being a noble?

Nobles usaully had the same or less amount of money as the king, and they too had castles or mansions. They were (in medieval times) above the salt, meaning they were accesable to salt, which was a expensive item. They had some power in politics and some times ruled an area of the kingdom.
