Who invented the jetski?

They were developed from the Japanese (Sea Sleds) were a form of assault open-operated ( by something akin to frogmen) submarine,normally one man. Sea sleds used peroxide torpedo engines and did not require an oxydizer- built into the fuel. Thar is my guess.
