Why is the Cadillac SRX oftentimes instead referred to as the Cadillac CRX?

The Cadillac SRX is a vehicle that has always been called the SRX. No results come up for the Cadillac CRX. Perhaps the C can stand for Cadillac as in Cadillac RX.
