What are two things a human can do but other animals can't?

From the standpoint of human existence, one likely answer might be:

1) Imagine

2) Procreate new humans

Note that all communication and technology answers (write novels, talk all day on the phone, build space rockets, split the atom) would all stem from the first point. Humans are not the only animals that use tools, but the only ones that can be trusted with power tools (some of us, anyway).

For the Cynical:

1) Ask pointless questions.

2) Answer sarcastically.
