The remains of Major Dade, specifically Major Francis L. Dade, are located in the Dade Battlefield Historic State Park in Florida. He was killed during the Second Seminole War in 1835, and his remains were initially buried on the battlefield. Later, they were moved to a cemetery in Fort Brooke, and eventually, they were interred at the battlefield site, which is now a memorial for those who lost their lives in the conflict.
