Can you use muriatic acid to unclog a shower?

Why mess with acid? Here's what I do to unclog drains at home: 1) Fill an empty 1-gallon plastic milk/water jug full of water. 2) Open faucet , let water run until clogged drain is full of water. 3) Turn off faucet. 4) Practice safety: put on some goggles. 5) Now tip the water jug over real quick and put the mouth of

the jug in the drain. 6) Push down hard and quick on the bottom of the jug.

This collapses the jug and forces a strong jet of water into the

drain and breaks up the clog. 7) I can honestly say that this worked for me. 8) One jug - one shot , so you may want to keep a few jugs around

in case one try is not enough, but once worked for me.
