What is the name for the mushroom on Mario Kart?

The typical mushroom in Mario games is known in-game as the Super Mushroom (or Super 'Shroom for short). Super Mushrooms actually look very similar to the real mushroom Amanita muscaria, which also is red with white spots. Amanita muscaria is a well-known hallucinogen.
