Why does lee have aunt Alexandra confine the children to the yard?

Aunt Alexandra confines the children to the yard so that she can keep an eye on them to insure that they do not go downtown as Atticus has asked them to do so. Next time please do your own homework! Lee should have a capital L because it is a proper noun and so should Aunt Alexandra.
