Why do people in the US teach children about all the bad things going on in the world but they do not teach or have strong feelings on what the US does or did that is horrible?

There are several possible answers for this.. None of which are really satisfying..

1. Most of the time people feel justified in performing atrocities for their country. Its not just in the US..its everywhere. Basically, everybody in the world is barbaric and commits great atrocities everywhere, but its ok if where they live does it to someone else..

2. Also, the winner of any war gets to rewrite history to their liking.

And there is more.. But that should hold for now.
