Are there S.W.A.T teams in England?

There are specialist units in the English Police forces, including teams of firearms officers who attend situations where the public or other officers, are confronted with weapons. To cope with more difficult situations (armed robberies, hostage taking, etc..) a number of the Police Forces have a SWAT-like unit. That unit could be made up of different specialists including Firearms officers.

Like most SWAT teams across the world, members of the unit often have a different role in their everyday routine, such as firearm trainer or Officer Safety trainer.
