Is he's the guy that i met ever correct instead of whom i met?

I think most grammar books will tell you whom is more or less obsolete as a relative pronoun. Both who and that are ok for people except if you refer to a name:

He is the guy that I met at the restaurant.

I spoke to Jon, who owns the taxi.
