What are the contributions of Isaac Newton to scientific development?

Sir Isaac newton is a well-known physician, obviously, but hidden behing those history books is a huge section describing his wide contributions to chemistry.

Newton wrote numerous notes on chemistry, many which have been unfortunately lost in a laboratory fire, he wrote many documents and transcriptions on the subject of chemistry, or as the Word was refered to at the time, 'chymystry'.

Newton also invented the reflecting telescope in 1668, which was one of the first replicas. Newton strived to invent this item in hopes that it would prove one of his notions claiming that white light was composed from a variety of spectrums of light.

Some of his chemistry works have been heavily based on discovering the Philosopher's Stone. Unfortunately, at the time, the empire was fearful that anyone would discover this particular Stone, worried that it would put gold out of its proper value. Therefore, many of Newton's notes on the Stone have been well-kept to himself.
