Why does sand stick to your feet when they are wet?

Scientists call it capillary attraction which is the interstitial liquid bridges between each grain of sand which occurs due to surface tension.

Pretty much intelligibly, when wet feet comes into contact with sand, the surface tension present in the water droplets presents enough strength to allow sand grains to stick to your feet.
