What is an advantage and disadvantage personality test?

Personality tests are designed to give an employer insight into an applicant's ethics and morals. Many times these tests work well for both the applicant and the employer, but there are other times that the applicant will answer the test based on how he/she thinks the employer would want them to answer it.
