What is the history of England?

The history of England goes back at least 1500 years. Your best bet is to look in an encyclopedia under "England" or "United Kingdom". Michael Montagne Micheal is right. English history based on the British Isles is actually very unusual and goes way back and is often not taught in much depth. A good website I use is www.englandandenglishhistory.com. The reason is that it takes a very unusual approach at avoiding all the usual stuff about kings and queens in a modern sense. But goes back to the origins of the English.
