What is the gay bear community?

Bears are a subgroup of gay men who tend to be bigger and heavier than the average man, and usually have a lot of body hair and/or facial hair. The most important aspect of "bears" however is their attitude. Bears tend to like hugging, kissing, affectionate sex. There are bear clubs and bars which tend to cater to men of this type, since they frequently don't feel welcome in typical gay bars.
