Not sure what a no sensor is. If you gut your cat, you are breaking the law. A 1996 or later vehicle will set the check engine light. It will also cause the computer to over adjust the fuel and ignition timing to try to correct the oxygen sensor reading. This will cause power, mileage, and drive-abilty issues.
