Does chlorine damage finger and toenail polish?

Chlorine, because it is a chemical, can fade or chip finger and toe nail polish. To lessen the chance of your nail polish chipping, make sure to apply a clear topcoat before and after you paint your nails. And, once you get out of the pool, dry off your nails with a towel to keep the chlorine from sinking in. Hope this helps!
