Are boys mean to you just cause they like you?

Pre-teen ones are It depends on the boy and the age. Sometimes, if the guy is being introduced to something new that he doesn't have much experience with he'll react negitively towards it. That's sometimes the case with a guy that likes a girl, but knows nothing about dating or relationships and hits/picks on her. Other times he might just be like that. <P>

<P>They want to be around you but don't know how to tell you, so they do what they know will get your attention, even if its mean.

<P>This is acceptable for a short time during adolescence ONLY. They should grow out of this and learn to express themselves, but some carry it through to adulthood.

<P>If you are a female of any age past about 15 please do not let the men in your life get away with this. If you can, demonstrate a better way by clearly telling them how you feel. Do not expect them to just know. As you've seen, guys can be pretty dumb about this stuff and need to find their way.

<P>If that doesn't help and they are still mean, get out of an abusive relationship.</P>
