Aggressive marketing techniques are used by people who are not concerned about repeat business.
You push the customer to get the sale. Customers don't like being pressured and are unlikley to come back and buy from you again or recommend that other people to buy from you.
Therefore this method is usually used for the sale of high value items that the customer is likely to only buy only once in a lifetime or sub standard goods that people will never buy again.
The other time is where a company is going out of business and just wants to sell as much product as they can.
Some sales companies are willing to burn some customers if the manufacturer is providing incentives to reach target sales figures. They will take the short term gain in preference to a potentially greater long term gain.
Most sales companies want repeat business so they don't engage in highly aggressive marketing or sales techniques.
