Where do ponyboy and johnny go immediatly after they leave the park?

Ponyboy and Johnny leave the park and go to an old abandoned church. They decide to hide out there as it is a safe place for them to stay. At the church they find a few blankets and some old mattresses which they use to make a bed for themselves. Additionally they find some snacks and canned goods which they use to make meals. During their stay at the church Ponyboy and Johnny talk read and reflect on their situation.
