What is the difference between hack saw used in fitting shop and saw used in carpentry?

Hacksaws have much harder blades with many more teeth per inch. The teeth are set differently and are much smaller due to the need to cut harder materials than wood. Wood saws, even tenon saws have larger teeth and are made to push or drag the waste out with each stroke.
