Hi
it would depend on the circumstances and it would have to be agreed that the risk to the mother and/or baby is greater if the labour isn't induced.
My first baby was stillborn at 35+4 so the decision was made to induce my second baby at 35 weeks gestation but i first had to have this approved by my consultant and have an internal examination.
I was given steroid injections to strengthen the babies lungs and we ended up spending 6 days in hospital due to jaundice but we were told to expect to be in hospital for 2 weeks.
The best thing to do is to talk to your midwife about any concerns that you have.
