Can a person be an enigma?

yes. the definnition of an enigma is "a person or thing that is mysterious, puzzling, or difficult to understand." therefore, a person can be an enigma. The Enigma machine,however, obviously was not a person.

There are many people who are enigmas to other people, sometimes simply because those other people close their minds to people that are not like they are.
