Apollo- spell it right- was Greco-Roman sun God. It is also a famous theatre in Harlem in New York. Apollo, was of course, the NASA Moon-landing program. I am not aware of any other meanings of this Word- let the Sun shine in! Apollo was worshipped by both Greeks and Romans under the same name, though HeliOS ( spirit of the Sun, from which Helium is derived! was used also by the Romans.
