Why will djokovic be number 1 in the rankings if he gets to the final of the French Open?

i don't think so because Rafael nadal is still number 1 but djokovic has won 40 matches in a row and i think that djokovic will lose in the final if he gets there but i think that novak will be better than roger federer.
