Where does digestion take place in an earthworm?

The food is sucked in through the mouth via a muscular pharynx. The food then passes through the esophagus, then stored in the crop. The food goes into the gizzard after that, where sand and contractions churn the food. After it passes through and is absorbed by the intestines, it exits through the anus.
