People we not thinking of the morals back then. The South was so involved in their economy and without the slaves they would have no income. The cotton plantations needed about 300 men and slaves were the only option. Even women had no rights in this time period so the constitution was made for the superior. The people who created the constitution, some of them were slave owners themselves. Back then, the white male was superior to any othe race in the United States.
