What does it mean when a guy friend puts his hand in the small of your back?

Well if ur friends then he couuld mean it but if he is basically a stranger I don't think if meant anything or he could of done it on accident but if u like him ask him out I regreat never asking the guy I loved I really miss him now =( don't make the same mistake as me
