It is called a "constitutional monarchy": We have a monarchy (like Sweden and UK), but the king is primarily a figurehead and officially prohibited from interfering in politics. But he does announce the official yearly opening of Parliament in the fall and the closing in the spring.

The actual government is democratically elected, fairly similar to the rest of Europe.
