Why is it bad to drink saltwater when you are shipwrecked?

The salt in the water sucks all of the water out of your cells & your cells will shrivel up and die.

(cells like to be at equilibrium with their surroundings so the concentration of salt outside of the cell makes the cell try to equalize and thus loses all of its water.)
